3 Assessment Methodology
Live It Acoustics conducted a noise assessment at Sunshine Beach Surf Life Saving Club in July
2024, in accordance with the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) Guideline 51 –
Preparing an acoustic report. The subsequent acoustic report (ref: #1721d1-C) was issued on 12
November 2024, was accepted by OLGR and used to endorse noise conditions on the current
liquor licence (see Section 4.1).
The assessment involved the investigation of the licensed premises’ amplified sound systems,
licensed areas and configuration of the premises to determine compliance with regulatory
requirements (Liquor Act, Liquor Reg as detailed above in Section 2.2 and Section 2.3) in relation
to noise.
Sections 3.1 to 3.4 below, provides a streamlined description of the assessment methodology
required of the Guideline 51 procedure and the findings of the assessment undertaken.
