                                     Figure 15: Tree Removal Plan

The applicant has provided an Ecological Assessment Report stating that numerous ‘least concern’
native trees (mostly paperbarks, banksia, macarangas and cheese trees), shrubs and
groundcovers within the existing landscaped garden beds around the perimeter of the existing
buildings to be renovated will be impacted by the works. In addition, minor quantities of vegetation
removal are required within the southern portion of the site for the extension to the Banksia South
wing, which is likely to include removal of four (4) of eight (8) Allocasuarina littoralis (black she-
oaks) identified on the site (refer to Figure 16). Inspection by the applicant’s ecologist has
confirmed that the trees are not feed trees for the Glossy Black Cockatoo. As such, a condition is
included in the recommendation requiring the retention of all she-oaks on site, where not required
to be removed for construction.
