The proposed development is comprised of six (6) individual stages. The waste storage containers
to be provided for each stage of the proposed development is detailed in the following sections. The
size and type of bins proposed by this report are consistent with waste storage container
specifications identified within Appendix 2 of the Noosa Shire Council’s PSP 09: waste management.
Stage 1A
Stage 1A of the proposed development is comprised of a club house and 40 residential detached
dwellings (see Residential Dwellings section). Table 3.4 below identifies the number and type of bins
which are to be provided to cater for the waste generated during the operational phase of the
clubhouse facility.
Please note that the bulk bins provide additional storage capacity for general waste and recyclable
waste refuse. The additional capacity shall provide for the fluctuation of waste generated by the
facility from increased rates of patronage and functions / events.

In addition to the general waste and recyclable waste produced during the operational phase of each
of the developments stages, it is expected that clinical and related waste will also be produced. The
storage and internal transport of clinical waste should therefore be undertaken in accordance with
the Environment Legislation Amendment and Repeal Regulation (No. 1) 2014. Section 4 of this
report, details the prescribed requirements for the storage and handling of clinical and related waste
streams.
