Appendix F - Amended Solid Waste Management Plan

Stage 1A: Clubhouse Facilities

The Clubhouse /Aquatic Centre Facilities shall be provided with a total of 2 bulk bins (1 x 1,500L
general waste and 1 x 1,500L recyclable waste). The bins are to be kept in a bin store room located
adjacent to the building’s loading dock. The bin store area is to be designed in accordance within
the provisions contained within PSP09 Waste Management for Waste Container Storage Rooms.
The bin store room is to be connected to the internal road network by smooth pavement allowing for
easy transport and servicing. The waste storage room has been designed so that it is lockable, is fly
and vermin proof and shall be well lit and ventilated. The bin store area shall also provide a hosecock
and will have a drainage point (with bund) which is connected to sewer allowing for the cleaning of
waste storage containers.

The temporary servicing point for the clubhouse is located in close proximity to the waste store room.
The servicing point is located adjacent to the waste store room in the loading dock. RCV’s shall enter
service the provided bins from the loading dock. It shall be the responsibility of the caretaker or
clubhouse staff to move bulk bins to the servicing point on collections days. Figure 3.4 depicts the
bin store are and the temporary servicing point.
