pose threats to native animal entrapment and should be
backfilled as soon as possible. In some locations, barriers may
be required overnight to eliminate the accidental capture of
animals moving through the site. When trenches are not
backfilled or machinery left onsite overnight, they are to be
inspected at the commencement of each day for trapped or
injured wildlife.

The movement and transport of machinery, vehicles and

equipment that are contaminated with weed and seed is a visitors
source of spreading invasive weeds from infested areas to
weed free locations or areas with minimal infestations.
Vehicles and equipment should be free of any introduced or
exotic species.

Where works will result in unacceptable risks to the health and

Site records should be maintained and detail the pre-
weeks following
operational works survey, changes to fauna management completion of
operational
practice and any non-compliance actions such as unplanned
works
disturbances to vegetation. Site records would additionally
include an inventory of species encountered during and a
summary of any fauna handling and relevant events.
Contingency measures and adjustments to fauna management for the proposed
development are subject to continual review for improvement and may need to be
considered in the event strategies are ineffective. In this event, the current mitigation
