1. Site conditions:
The area is grassed with scattered trees. The general area slopes at approximately 3-10%.

2. Soil Assessment:
The bore logs of the site indicate that the soil profile consists of a dark grey CLAY over grey CLAY over yellow brown
mottled light grey CLAY over red brown CLAY. From on-site visual examination a textural classification of Category 5
has been adopted.

3. Calculation of Disposal Area using the AES Design Calculator.
Direct Natural Ground: AES pipes bedded in coarse washed sand
Excavated Bed Dimensions: 9.6 long x 12.5m wide, (from AES Infiltration Foot Print Area minimum footprint) 900mm
deep (depth is AES system sand depth from AES dimensions table + 150mm backfill). Total footprint area = 120 m2

        If standard fixtures used:
        CAT 5 SOIL
        TOWN WATER
        8 PEOPLE
        150 litres/day/person (Reticulated/Bore)
        Q (day) = 8x150 = 1200 litres/day
        DLR = 10 mm/day
        REQUIRED BED = 9.6 long x 12.5m wide, 900mm deep AES beds.
