RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Civil Operations Technical Officer to the Ordinary Meeting
dated 22 October 2015 and
A.                       Award tender 1516T035 Road Resurfacing and Rehabilitation to the following contractors:
                         1.   Portion A – Road Reseal & Rehabilitation Programme: Allroad Surfaces Pty Ltd;
                         2.   Portion B – Mill and Fill Pavement Repairs: Allroad Surfaces Pty Ltd; and
                         3.   Portion C – Bitumen Sealing: RPQ Spray Sealing;
B.                       Not award Portion D – Rejuvenation.


REPORT
Council has a core responsibility for the maintenance of the sealed road network across the
Noosa Shire area. Roads for resealing and rehabilitation are selected annually in order to
achieve or extend the working life of the asset. These selected roads are then inspected and
prioritised.

The aim is to ensure that all works will be completed with limited impact on residents and road
users. A comprehensive list of the roads to be treated during 2015/16 can be found in
Attachment 1.

1.                       Tender Process

A request for quote under LocalBuy arrangement, Civil Construction and Road Resurfacing was
distributed to all Tier 1 and Tier 2 Department of Transport and Main Roads prequalified
contractors. The quote consisted of four separable portions as shown below:

1.                       Portion A – Road Reseal & Rehabilitation Programme;
2.                       Portion B – Mill and Fill Pavement Repairs;
3.                       Portion C – Bitumen Sealing; and
4.                       Portion D – Rejuvenation.
