All site staff and subcontractors will be required to complete a site-specific induction before
commencing work on site. The induction will cover aspects relating to safety and amenity; including
access, emergency evacuation procedures, location of first aid facilities, location of amenities, site
hours, material handling, noise and dust policies and environmental management.
Prior to commencing works on site, all subcontractors will be required to submit a project specific
Safety Management Plan. This plan will be reviewed by appointed Building Contractor for
compliance with the overall Project Safety Plan.
The Project Manager will conduct regular inspections of the project and will be actively involved in
reviewing Safety Management Plans and making recommendations with regard to health and
safety issues.
The Contractor is to maintain access to all adjacent properties during the construction of these
works.
3.5 Traffic Management Plan
A Traffic Guidance Scheme (revision 00, dated 31/5/2022) has been prepared by Evolution Traffic
Management and is included in Attachment A.
All temporary traffic control to be in accordance with the MUTCD.
Safe pedestrian access is proposed and included within he attached Traffic Guidance Scheme.
3.6 Worker Carparking
During the construction, car parking for the site workers will be located on site within the existing
hardstand /carparking area.
3.7 Communications Protocol / Complaints Procedure
The appointed Contractor shall undertake a letter box drop to adjoining properties providing
contact details for the site supervisor.
The approach for resolving complaints is,
1. Deal with the complaint immediately. Get to the heart of the matter quickly, and you’re
more likely to satisfy the customer. Ignoring it will not solve the problem.
2. Stay calm. The customer must be dissatisfied for some reason, even if you think they are
wrong. The matter will only get worse if you respond aggressively.
3. Identify the problem. Listen to what the customer says and make sure you understand.
