Lawful Point of Discharge
The site drains with a grade towards an existing low point at approximately RL 10.5m AHD in the south-west
corner. This location has been the historical point of discharge and will remain.
To attempt to achieve a lawful point of discharge to the David Low Way road reserve would require substantial
fill to the site and create a visual appearance that would not be welcome to the environment.
External Catchment and Overland Flows
In general, the site experiences no overland flow from any upper catchments.
Stormwater Infrastructure
The proposed stormwater system utilises 150 and 225mm diameter pipes and will ultimately discharge to the
existing infiltration system via the proposed infiltration system. Overland flows from any major storm events
will also be directed towards the south-west. However, with the tank sizing available it is expected that runoff
would be reduced.
Flooding
Flood mapping courtesy of the Noosa Council (ARCGIS Web Map) indicates the site is not subject to flooding
from any sources.
The mapping demonstrates all defined flood extents limited to the parkland in the west.
