Finance & Risk
The Transport Strategy is a key document which will provide guidance for the next 20 years on the
development and implementation of transportation initiatives aimed at addressing the transport
challenges faced in the Noosa Shire. Failure to have such a strategy will result in haphazard
responses which will not be aligned to specific outcomes at improving issues of congestion, car
parking, public transport and active transport.
The Transport Strategy can also lead to the deferral or removal of planned expenditure associated
with future intersection upgrades and other infrastructure.
There are no financial implications associated with the adoption of the Transport Strategy.
