Drawing DA1.12 Carpark Plans – Deficiencies The current plans should be amended to reflect the following: There needs to be dedicated pedestrian walkways, separate from any vehicle pathways, at the southern end of the carparks for carpark users to be able to connect directly with the clubhouse/cart area. Parking for PWD users should be closer to the entrances to the clubhouse and hotel. Golfers bringing equipment/buggies and parking on the upper level can only use the one set of stairs to proceed to the ground floor or take their chances with any traffic on the ramp down to the roundabout outside the clubhouse. The two-way entry/exit road for the ground floor park should be a single lane just for entry. The exit path should be used for pedestrian traffic and physically separated from the vehicular traffic. No turning areas are shown at the dead ends of either ground or first floor car parks. Whilst there are 4 electric car charging stations shown on the top car park, there are no obvious charging facilities for e-bikes. Storage and charging facilities for e-bikes should be identified. If this is to be a feature of the hotel provision should be made for the expected initial requirement and for future growth. There should be provision for the storage of bicycles hired by the hotel guests for more than one day. There are 8 motorcycle/scooter parking spaces. Golfers already regularly use 3 or 4 spaces. There will need to be significantly more spaces available if the hotel gusts make use of the scooter and e- bike hire.
