attendance.
Noosa Chorale moved to The J in March 2014 and an agreement with QLD Arts Alliance was
established during the quarter which will provide ongoing rotation of art displays in The J Upper
Foyer (commencing 2015).
The J website has seen increased activity throughout the quarter since its relaunch with an
average of 195 visits per day in September.
BCC
Occupancy rates at the BCC have been in decline for a number of years. The departure of the
Noosa Flexible Learning School in July has seen the Demountable building available for hire for
approximately two months. The current configuration impedes the hireable space and potential
uses. Limited enquiry has been received to date.
At the last meeting round Council adopted changes at the BCC which will significantly increase
the usage of the site with two new key anchor tenants – Noosa Gymnastics and the Montessori
School. These changes will commence in 2015 and will be discussed further in The J and BCC
half yearly report to Council.
