            5 Development Traffic Generation
                        Proposed Traffic Generation
Modus has referenced the Guide to Transport Impact Assessment Version 1.1 (2024) to determine the
traffic generation of the proposed reconfiguration of lot development. The anticipated traffic generation
has been outlined below in Table 5-2.

Table 5-2 Proposed Development Traffic Generation

Development Stage Total Yield Trip Generation Rates Traffic Generation
                                                                                                          (PEAK)
                                                                        0.83 AM vph / dwelling 8 vph
Dwelling House 9 dwellings 0.84 PM vph / dwelling 8vph
                                                                          7.53 vpd / dwelling 68vpd

The proposed subdivision development is anticipated to generate up to 8 vph in the AM and PM peak
            periods and 68 vpd.

                        Development Traffic Distribution

            5.2.1 Inbound / Outbound Distribution

The peak hour trip generation is inclusive of inbound and outbound movements, which for a Dwelling
House land use the adopted directional trip distribution is as follows:

N AM Peak: 20% vehicle in / 80% vehicle out

N PM Peak: 70% vehicle in / 30% vehicle out

Therefore, the inbound and outbound traffic generation of the development is outlined in Table 5-3.

Table 5-3 Proposed Development Traffic Distribution

Peak Hour In / Out Volumes
                     Total Vph
AM IN AM OUT PM IN PM OUT

                        8 vph 2 vph 6 vph 6 vph 2 vph

As such, during the peak periods this corresponds to only 2 vph entering the development and 6 vph
exiting in the AM, and 6 vph entering and 2 vph exiting in the PM peak.
Therefore, Modus believes the expected traffic generation from the proposed development is not
anticipated to have a significant impact on the surrounding road network.
