2.6 State Koala Mapping
The subject land and surrounding landscape is within the Koala Assessable Development Area (blue
stippling) under the Planning Act 2016 (formerly SPRP) 8 with the subject land and surrounds
considered “low value rehabilitation habitat” (pink shading) and “bushland habitat” (green shading)
to the north, beyond the fencing and road (refer Extract E1).

Under the current koala protection framework 9, the subject land is not mapped as a “koala priority
area” (cross hatching). A small area in the north (green shading) is mapped as “koala habitat (core)”
and extends from the bushland north of the road and fence (note changed from previous mapping).
