SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 6 AUGUST 2019
2. CUSTOMERS
NLC recorded 127,580 attendances for the year, up 16.9% on the previous year’s total of
109,108. Some of the growth related to visits to the temporary mini library and as such it’s
expected that visitation numbers will pull back a little in 2019/20.
The cost per visit, exclusive of depreciation and internal charges, was $1.72, down almost 10%
on last year’s measure of $1.90. Inclusive of all costs this figure increases to $4.06, down 25%
on last year’s figure of $5.46 due entirely to a decrease in internal charges expenses.

Increase in attendance was due to the strong performance of the group fitness program, the kids’
playroom and the growing pickleball program, along with several large events throughout the
year, including:
Enchanted Balloon Forest Display
Amma Australian Tour
Noosa Chorale Silver Anniversary performance, Verdi Requiem
The Rotary Noosa Daybreak Bookfest fundraiser
3. STAFFING
NLC has one full-time member of staff (NLC Coordinator) and approximately 15 casual staff.
