Kenlynn Castaways Beach BMP
Attached to the e-mail Request for Negotiated Decision Notice REC16/0015.
The entire area is mapped as remnant vegetation and designated as “Environmental Protection Area” under Councils Biodiversity Overlay. (Refer to Section 4) The existing dwelling on Lot 1 is in a deteriorating state and is likely to be demolished and rebuilt in due course. It’s current location is within 2m of high levels of available vegetative fuel on Council managed reserve, placing the building within potential “Flame Zone”. This Plan serves to inform a realignment of future building envelopes in order not to exceed a construction requirement above BAL 29 under AS3959-2009; whilst at the same time being mindful of environmental protection objectives. There are no municipal hydrants that would be readily accessible were fire (bushfire or structural fire) require access to them. This Plan addresses the need for accessible water supplies along with all the other bushfire protection measures warranted for this site. Figure 2. Closer details of Site The site is within approximately 5km by road of the nearest Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (Noosa Fire Station, cnr Cooyar and Langura St).
