PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 12 APRIL 2022
Comments relating to building design, Tewantin built form and engineering design requirements
were also provided.
An application for a Material Change of Use of 8 dwelling units was formally lodged with Council
on 29 April 2021 with an information request issued on 1 June 2021. The information request listed
14 items to be addressed including:
• Plot ratio to be reduced to comply with scheme provisions
• Engineering – stormwater, earthworks and carparking
• Built form
• Privacy
• Landscaping
• Site cover (original proposal complied with site cover however it was flagged that potential
changes to layout would also need to comply)
A preliminary response was provided by the applicant on 4 August 2021 wherein the applicants’
planning consultant acknowledged that the Noosa Plan did not envisage Gold Standard All Ability
Housing and detailed that they had reduced gross floor area, but still required a relaxation to
provide a good design outcome for liveable housing.
