16.2.       PLANT INSTALLATION

 Plant Installation: Ex-Ground + 1000L – On Grade
 Planting hole - Excavate a hole no deeper than the rootball. The hole is to be 3 times the diameter of the
 rootball. Rip the sides of the hole prior to planting.
 Watering dish - Form a 100mm high, 1600mm diameter mounded soil watering dish around the tree. Infill the
 watering dish with mulch. Fill the dish with water regularly during the initial plant establishment period.
 Root Anchor – Platipus tree anchoring system.
 Installation – Install as per manufacturers details. Re-tension after planting to provide a slightly loose fit,
 allowing for main trunk and canopy movement, which will provide wind support and promote root and stem
 growth.

 Planting hole - Excavate a hole no deeper than the rootball. The hole is to be 3 times the diameter of the
 rootball. Rip the sides of the hole prior to planting.

 Staking - Drive stakes into the ground, to approximately one third of their length, avoiding damage to roots.
 Install 3 times 50mm x 50mm x 2400mm stakes. Provide ties fixed securely to the stakes, one tie at half the
 height of the main stem. Others as necessary to stabilise the plant.

 water dish with mulch.
