That Council note the report by the Community Development Coordinator to the General
Committee Meeting dated 8 February 2016 and
A.       Adopt the updated Community Grants Policy provided at Attachment 1 to the Report;
B.       Allocate unspent water and sewerage funds from 2015/2016 to pay outstanding water bills
         from previous years and implement recommendations from recent hydrology reports
         undertaken for eligible not for profit community organisations; and
C.       Repeal the current Festive Season Event Grants Policy.


Finance & Risk

Out of round funding is permitted under Council’s community grants policy.

There is $25,837 currently available in the 2015/16 Community Grants – Projects budget
(Account number 64074).

Applications have been assessed by Specialist Officers and moderated by the Director of
Community Services and Coordinator of Community Development. Note the Director of
Community Services is a former treasurer and current member of the Noosa Long Week End.
