The State (DEHP) administers protected flora under the Nature Conservation Act 1992. The subject
land and surrounding suburb lie within a “high risk area” as per the Protected Flora Survey Trigger
Map 6 (refer Extract C). As such separate reporting/notification is be required for the Department.
Note: This is a separate process to Council approval and is being undertaken concurrently.

3.5 State Koala Mapping
The subject land and surrounding landscape within the Koala Assessable Development Area (blue
stippling) under the Planning Act 2016 (formerly SPRP) 7 and there is koala bushland (green shading)
and rehabilitation habitat (pink shading) mapped within or adjacent to the subject land (refer
Extract D). It is understood that the original application for the Civic Centre addressed the relevant
koala matters. No further consideration is given to this mapping in this document. It is understood
that where necessary, this is to be addressed by others.
