Figure 43 – Pedestrian connections Picture 29 – movement routes Source: Buchan ISSUE 8: LANDSCAPING & ECOLOGY Insufficient information has been provided to demonstrate that remaining vegetation depth and density to Eenie Creek Road suitably buffers buildings and loading zones so the built form does not encroach on the existing native vegetation along the road frontage. The covenant areas and road reserves contain native vegetation which is required to be retained during construction and the approved use of the site. Construction, supply of services and the ongoing use of the site can impact on the retention of the vegetation. The site is designated as Environmental Enhancement under the Biodiversity Overlay of the Noosa Plan. A review of the vegetated portions of the site indicates it may present habitat values for threatened species including acid/wallum frogs and koalas. No fauna assessment has been submitted with the application material. The car parking area does not comply with the Landscaping Code, in regard to landscaping throughout the car parking area.
