It is noted that the former Masters approval (condition 20(b)(i)) had a similar intent detailed as:
‘vegetated screening of northern and eastern boundaries of the site designed that 75% of the bulk
of the building, including roof form will be screened within 5 years’.
A similar worded condition may form a reasonable and relevant condition of approval.
36. Provide an arborist report prepared by a qualified person1 which documents the methods to
retain and enhance the vegetation in the covenant area and in the road reserve during
construction, supply of services and the ongoing use of the site.
Response to sub-item 36:
A preliminary arborist report prepared by Treescience, with additional inputs from Gondwana Ecology
Group provides methods to retain and enhance the vegetation within the covenant areas of the
development site and in the road reserve during construction. A full list of the recommendations is
provided in our response to below Item 8 sub-item 37, specifically items to be included in a future
Fauna Management Plan (FMP) that can form an appropriate condition of approval. Full details are
provided in Appendix J.
37. Provide an assessment of the habitat values present on the site for acid frogs and koalas.
Vegetation must only be removed or disturbed in accordance with a Fauna Management Plan
(or part thereof) prepared by a qualified person2 and endorsed through an operational works
permit.
