A variety of landscaping treatments are proposed to create a lush, sub-tropical and inviting environment for
visitors. Established and dense plantings will be used to boarder the site and act as visual and acoustic barriers.
Internal soft and hard landscaping has been varied to create unique spaces within the development for respite
for guests. Statement landscaping treatments have been incorporated at the entry of the development to
create a positive streetscape appeal and visual interest. The large areas of pervious surfaces not only engage
informal entertainment and recreational activities but also assist with the on-site treatment of stormwater.
External timber cladding and colourbond roofing deliver striking horizontal and vertical design elements. Large
opening glass windows create light filled and welcoming rooms. The materials chosen represent a mixture of
lightweight and textured materials. Additionally, these materials are appropriate and manage the elements of
the coastal environment.
