Section 7.3


Activation Criteria                                     The disaster management system at a local level, involving
                                                        the LDMG, may be activated for any number of reasons. The
                                                        following decision criteria should be employed (if yes is answered
                                                        to any of the following the LDMG should be activated):

                                                        •   Is there a perceived need relative to an impending hazard
                                                            impact which requires multi-agency coordination?
                                                        •   Has there been a request from a response agency, to provide
                                                            resource support and coordination in support of operations?
                                                        •   Has there has been a request / direction from the DDC to
                                                            activate the LDMG?
                                                        •   Has there been a sudden impact event which requires
                                                            involvement of the LDMG in one or more phases of PPRR?
