26/09/2020 | If council is serious about recycling the dump fees should be reduced or all residents whether
they be owners or rentals, given dump vouchers. Kerbside clean up should be a must. Plus the
Recycle bins should be emptied weekly not fortnightly, especially around Christmas time.
let's weed like lantana and tobacco flourish. Disgrace for an ecologically minded council.
26/09/2020 | * Reduce the wedding permit fees
* Direct dollars from Tourism and Economic Levy to cover any costs not recovered from
minimal wedding permit fees, for the maintenance of all ceremony sites in the Noosa Shire. If
permit fees for ceremonies in Noosa were brought in line (or less than) with other Shires across
Queensiand this will bring great economic benefit to our small businesses, and to all the
wedding industry and tourism businesses in Noosa.
* STOP permit fees on our open beaches — no maintenance is required on the beaches.
Maximum number of guests can be a part of the permit. Free beach permits for Sunshine
Beach to Peregian Beach — this would encourage couples to marry outside of the Hastings
Street Precinct, yet keep the dollars supporting our economy.
* Develop and Build Undercover options/Multipurpose / wedding chapel — A large and beautiful
undercover area at Noosa Woods, Chaplin Park, and the Noosa Botanic Gardens would bring
quality weddings to the Noosa Region. These would soon pay for themselves.
* Funding to Tourism Noosa to SUPPORT the wedding and honeymoon industry.
* CONSULTATION with the Noosa Wedding Organisation when decisions impacting the
Wedding Industry in Noosa are being made.
