Noosa Civic Engineering Report 5 Groundwater Previous geotechnical assessment across the site (Report on Geotechnical Investigation – Noosa Business Centre – Stage 1, Golder Associates Pty Ltd, August 2004), particularly on the eastern boundary of the existing development, disclosed no presence of groundwater down to levels of 1.5 m AHD. Given that the plans for the proposed development require earthworks down to 5.2 m AHD, it is expected that groundwater issues will not be significant during the construction phase of the project. It is expected that the presence or otherwise of groundwater on the development site will be determined during the geotechnical investigation proposed for that area prior to commencement of construction. However, existing information indicates that it is quite unlikely that groundwater will be encountered during the construction phase.
