Noosa Civic
Erosion Sediment Control Plan

2.2.1 Duration of Disturbance
It is proposed that the earthworks program is to take approximately 8 to 10 weeks.
Upon completion of the bulk earthworks filling, the site will be stabilised as directed herein or as part of the
approved detailed design plans and inspected by the Superintendent.
It is intended to fill the site by a cellular means, to minimise the potential for exposed soils to produce
sediment laden runoff. It is proposed to construct the outer limit of the earthworks fill platform first and to
stabilise this outer bank immediately upon completion. This newly formed bund will contain all contaminated
runoff within the site works area itself, which will then be directed to the proposed sediment basin/s for
treatment prior to discharging.

2.3 Rehabilitation Method
The finished surface of the site will be rehabilitated according to its location and intended final use. All
substantial batters are to be prepped, mulched and vegetated. All future building pad areas are to be
seeded once the surface is prepped and topsoiled.
Prior to the placement of any topsoil, the surface is to be scarified/roughened along the contour.
Topsoil is only to be moved when it is in a damp condition to ensure that the soil aggregate condition is
maintained. Topsoil is to be ripped/scarified along the contour prior to stabilisation, if smooth and
compacted.

2.4 Special Considerations
Access for construction and fill movements will only be permitted via Walter Hay Drive at the nominated
location.
A specific site issue to be considered is the proximity to the adjacent covenant area. Fences are to be
erected at the extent of the proposed earthworks areas and clearly marked as “No Go Zones” beyond.
