Noosa Civic
Engineering Report
2 Water Supply and Sewerage
There is a proposal to extend Noosa Civic. The existing centre is located on Eenie Creek Road, Noosaville,
and is within Unitywater’s water supply and sewerage service area. All water and sewer planning for the
proposed extension will be undertaken in accordance with Unitywater’s design criteria as detailed in the 2013
South East Queensland Design and Construction Code - Design Criteria.
The proposed extension to the centre will include the approximate increases in Gross Floor Area – Retail
given in Table 2-1 below. As per Unitywater’s design criteria an Equivalent Person (EP) is used for water
and sewer planning. Unitywater prescribes a density for both water and sewer EPs, as per its Schedule of
Works (Version 1.0, 25 June 2014). The adopted densities for water and sewage respectively are:
1.32 EP per 100m2 Gross Floor Area (GFA); and
1.54 EP per 100m2 Gross Floor Area (GFA).
A summary of the projected EP’s is detailed in Table 2-1. It is noted that GFA figures are not currently
available, and that GLA (Gross Leasable Area) has been used as a close analogue.
