Noosa Civic
Construction Environmental Management Plan

1                  Introduction
QIC Noosa Civic Pty Ltd (QIC) is proposing to expand Noosa Civic located at 28 Eenie Creek Road,
Noosaville, within Noosa Shire.
The site of the proposed expansion is currently in an undeveloped natural state.
Cardno (Qld) Pty Ltd (Cardno) was commissioned to provide environmental management planning services
to the applicant in relation to the design and environmental management of the construction works.
This Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) has been prepared by Cardno to provide details
of the environmental management requirements for construction of the project, as well as certain operational
aspects.
This CEMP provides overarching performance criteria that are to be met in order to minimise impacts of the
works on the surrounding physical and social environment. In particular, the aims of this CEMP are to
ensure that:
 commitments and recommendations made by this CEMP and relevant technical reports for the purpose
      of protecting environmental values are implemented during the operational works;
 a high level of environmental care and responsibility is demonstrated and best practice environmental
      management is achieved during the construction phase of the project;
 compliance with relevant legislation and permit conditions are demonstrated and satisfied; and
 environmental responsibilities, monitoring, reporting and auditing procedures are established to
      demonstrate due diligence.
While this CEMP will form the basis of the contractor’s corresponding Plan, it is not intended as a
replacement for due consideration of the management of issues and impacts by the contractor.
