4 STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE
4.1 Existing Infrastructure
A Noosa Shire Council DBYD search and detailed survey identified the following stormwater
infrastructure within the vicinity of the subject site:
Existing 1050mm stormwater pipe and associated gully pit traversing the southern portion of 94
Noosa Drive (Lot 203 on SP267424) and the existing Sanctuary Drive Road via kerb and channel
adapters to the north-east of the proposed extension;
Existing Council stormwater infrastructure consisting of 375-525mm stormwater pipes and gully
pits external to 142 Noosa Drive (Lot 3 on SP126203) within the south-eastern roundabout.
Refer to Appendix A for the detailed survey for further information regarding the existing stormwater
infrastructure.
Note: A diversion swale exists within existing RACV Noosa Resort along the development sites
northern boundary internal to the resort development property. ADG refer reader to previous site
reporting documents for details.
4.2 Lawful Point of Discharge (LPD)
4.2.1 Existing LPD
Based on information gathered via survey and contour data, aerial imagery and site investigation it
has been determined that the development site discharges stormwater flows via overland flow
towards Weyba Creek.
4.2.2 Proposed LPD
It is proposed to maintain the existing ultimate lawful point of discharge being Weyba Creek to the
west. Any increased runoff because of the proposed development is anticipated to be infiltrated
onsite.
Refer to Appendix C for the Preliminary Layout Plans prepared by this office.
4.3 External Catchment
No significant upstream catchment directly acts on the developable site area, other than the carpark
extents beyond the boundary line. The area within Sanctuary Drive discharges to the existing council
infrastructure within the road via kerb and channel adapters, this it to remain unchanged.
Refer to Appendix A for the detailed survey for further information regarding the existing site
features.
