6.4     Regional Plan
The South East Queensland Regional Plan 2017 (SEQRP) guides land use and development in the
region. The subject land is located within the Urban designation of the SEQRP (refer Figure 18 below).

The SEQRP provisions relevant to this proposal have been appropriately integrated into the Noosa Plan
2020. Further assessment against the SEQRP is not required in this instance.

7. Planning Scheme Considerations

7.1     Proposal Description
The proposed development is described as Material Change of Use which is defined by the Planning
Act 2016 as follows:

material change of use of premises, means any of the following that a regulation made under section
284(2)(a) does not prescribe toe be a minor change of use—

 (a) the start of a new use of the premise;

 (b) the re-establishment on the premises of a use that has been abandoned;

 (c) a material increase in the intensity or scale of the use of the premises.
