The contract is split into five (5) Contract Groups as follows:

The detailed specification, frequencies and locations of the cleaning requirements are included
within the contract service specifications and corresponding cleaning service schedules.

The anticipated start date is 1 September 2017 with an initial term of three (3) years. The
contract has options to extend for three (3) terms of up to twelve (12) months each at Council’s
sole discretion.

1.    Tender Process

Due to the nature of the services required, and the value of the works being greater than
$200,000 Council called a public tender for the works through the LG Tender Box system in
accordance with the Local Government Act 2009.

An open invitation to tender was released via LG Tender Box on 23 June 2017 with advertising in
the Sunshine Coast Daily on 24 June 2017 and in the Noosa News on 27 June 2017. The tender
closed on 18 July 2017. A total of 14 firms submitted conforming tenders.

2.    Tender Assessment

The tender evaluation panel undertook an assessment of the conforming tender submissions
