Therefore, the Chief Warden as part of their responsibilities on the Emergency Planning
Committee is to ensure the following information is obtained, verified and recorded in an
Emergency event log: -
1. The date and time of the bushfire emergency,
2. The location of the bushfire emergency,
3. The actions which were implemented to respond to the bushfire emergency,
4. The outcome and impacts to staff, guests and property as a result of the bushfire
emergency and the actions to manage the emergency.
5. A list of actions that are required to mitigate any future impacts should the bushfire
emergency incident arise in the future.
6. Photographs and maps or plans should accompany all bushfire emergency incident
records.
Training
All Hotel staff which have a role in responding to a bushfire emergency within their role
descriptions are to be provided with all necessary emergency training that would be
necessary for them to undertake their role during a bushfire emergency.
Emergency Response Plan review
The Emergency Response Plan is to be reviewed after any bushfire emergency event or
every five (5) years whichever is the earlier.
While the Emergency Planning Committee is to have the responsibility for the review of this
Emergency Response Plan.

Emergency Warning Level Actions
Alert Warning issued by 1. The GM is to instruct the Senior Rooms Manager
Emergency Services to text all guests and staff that a Bushfire Alert
warning has been issued by the Qld Emergency
Services.
2. The text is to clearly state that no immediate
action is required but the notice is simply an alert
notice.
3. The CFW is to meet, and checks are to be
undertaken as to the status of the:
a. Guest numbers current and future
bookings
b. Staffing levels and shift change overs
c. landscape and building maintenance.
