PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 11 JUNE 2019
Figure 2: Perspective from Pedestrian Pathway
The multiple housing units are proposed to be accessed via a single common driveway adjacent
to the boundary of the Edgar Bennett Avenue road reserve and public footpath, linking to Attunga
Heights. Three visitor car parks and a pedestrian link to the existing public footpath are proposed.
Cut and fill up to 2m in height on the common boundary with Edgar Bennett Avenue road reserve
is proposed to construct the driveway.
An Asset Protection Zone from each building footprint, extending up to 12m into the surrounding
vegetation is proposed to provide protection from potential bushfires. The Asset Protection Zone
requires setbacks illustrated in Figure 3 to be constructed and maintained in perpetuity. The
setbacks require vegetation to be removed and/or modified (i.e. removal of fire prone vegetation
within the understorey) so the area is effectively free of available fuel. The Asset Protection Zone
extends into proposed Lot 4, the proposed parkland area to be dedicated to Council.
