3. Davidson Hair Test Results
To test the floor samples, a 25kg dumbbell was dropped repeatedly in a manner that would
be expected during operation. Weight drops were conducted in the centre of the proposed
gym area on the existing floor on each sample and then measured at the respective sensitive
receivers.
The results of the measurements from the Davidson Hair are presented in the table below:

Regupol 4080 produced significant noise and vibration impacts to the adjacent tenancy,
primarily through the floor. When testing a double layer of Regupol 4080, noise and vibration
impacts to the Davidson Hair were substantially reduced.
Tests conducted on all samples were still audible at the measurement location due to structural
vibration primarily through the floor.
3.1 Wall (Airborne Noise) Test Results
An airborne noise transmission test was conducted through the intertenancy wall. The results
of the wall testing are presented in Table 2 as follows;

The result is based on the overall composite sound transmission loss of the wall partition, plus
potential flanking over the ceiling and via the flooring. The PA system will need to be limited
to improve the subjective levels within the gym. See Section 5.2 for recommendations.
