Town Planning Report - 3 Grady Street Kin Kin
Heritage Overlay Code and is discussed below (discussed below).
5.4 South East Queensland Regional Plan 2023
Under part 2.2 of the planning scheme, the Planning Minister has identified that the Noosa Plan 2020
appropriately advances the South East Queensland Regional Plan 2017 (SEQRP) as it applies to the
planning scheme area.
The SEQRP 2017 has been overtaken by SEQRP 2023, and the subject land remains within the
Regional Landscape and Rural Production Area. The proposed development for a dwelling house
making use of existing community building on the site is not inconsistent with the SEQRP 2023.
6 Local Planning Instrument
6.1 Noosa Plan 2020
The planning scheme includes the subject land in the Community Facilities Zone (refer Figure 5).
Under Tables of Assessment (Table 5.5.11 Community Facilities), the application for a Dwelling house
located on 3 Grady Street Kin Kin, described as Lot 206 on K6575 is subject to code assessment and
is a consistent use. The following assessment benchmarks are considered most relevant to the
proposal:
• Hinterland Villages Local Plan Code
• Community Facilities Zone Code
• Low Density Housing Code; and
• Heritage Overlay Code.
