GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 24 OCTOBER 2022
Figure 1. Site location
Noosa District Sports Complex is home to existing community groups who will continue to operate
during all stages of construction (with the nearest groups being the adjoining Car Club and Navy
Cadet Shed, Cricket fields and storage shed and the Netball Clubhouse and car parking).
Construction works will require the Contractor to ensure impacts to other community groups and
playing fields are mitigated via appropriately developed security and safety methodologies and a
detailed plan.
In accordance with Chapter 6, Part 3 of the Local Government Regulation and Council’s
Procurement Policy, Council invited written tenders for the design and construction of McKinnon
Drive Community Sports Facility Replacement and was issued as a lump sum contract.
Council invited written tenders via the Council VendorPanel e-portal on 28 July 2022, advertised
on Council’s webpage on 28 July 2022, and advertised the tender within the Noosa Today
publication on 5 August 2022, with responses closing on 23 August 2022.
Statistics generated from VendorPanel e-portal identified that 64 separate suppliers viewed the
ITT. One (1) response was received within the VendorPanel e-portal from Murphy Builders Qld Pty
Ltd.
The submission received was deemed a conforming tender after an initial compliance review to
ensure the response met the minimum tender requirements.
