INFRASTRUCTURE & SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING REPORT 10 NOVEMBER 2015
2. Current Contract expiring 30 August 2016
As there is an extensive lead time required for tendering, awarding and mobilising a new waste
management contract the Council must call a tender for the new contract no later than May 2016.
The current contract expires 30 August 2016. There remains a one year option for extension of
the contract to 30 August 2017. This extension requires endorsement by Council.
The development of the tender documentation is a considerable undertaking. To ensure that the
contract includes services that have been endorsed by Council, it is essential that appropriate
decisions are made prior to draft the tender documentation.
