BUSHFIRE ASSESSMENT REPORT
Client: The Knowles Group Location: Eenie Creek Road, Noosaville
Re12.9-10.1 Tall Open Forest is located closest to the subject site being immediately on the sites
northern and eastern boundaries. A large fire travelling towards the site could potentially travel
through a variety of vegetation types and therefore fire behaviour would differ within these
vegetation types.
A copy of the DNRM report is contained in Appendix D. Site vegetation will be predominantly
cleared to accommodate the proposed use.

4.2 Vegetation Extent and Fire Runs
The subject site is located adjacent to a broader expansive area of native vegetation, including the
Noosa National Park. Large fire runs (over 1km in length) surround the site to the east, south east
and south (refer Figure 5). In this respect it is possible, though unlikely, that large scale landscape
scale fires may impact the Noosaville area and the subject site along wide fire fronts. The threat is
somewhat diminished by the industrial area and Noosa Civic Shopping Centre to the north, west
and south west. A well maintained grass sward beneath the adjacent electricity easement would
have similar benefit in terms of isolating the site from the surrounding tracts of vegetation.
