The application seeks approval to change the access for a previously approved telecommunication tower
at 23 Jirrima Crescent, Cooroibah (MCU16/0099).
The application is not considered a minor change under the Planning Act 2016 as it involves another
parcel of land and is therefore an Other Change Application and required to follow an impact
assessment process.
Due to the change being relatively minor in nature, with the assessment limited to the changed access
arrangement, it would be appropriate to reduce the charge to 25% of the original application fee
($2835.50).
Previous Council Consideration
The fees and charges for development applications were considered by Council at the Special
Budget Meeting in June 2019.
Finance
The agreed variations to the development application fees amounted to a total of $93,584 and
had no significant impact on the budgets for 2017-18 or 2018-19.
Risks & Opportunities
The fee variations are considered to be reasonable and are adequately justified.
