2.3 SOILS

A geotechnical report has not been carried out as yet for this site. This will be
undertaken for the development approval for Building Work. From experience,
however, the soil conditions on site will consist of fine to medium grain sand.

2.3.1 ACID SULPHATE SOILS

Acid Sulphate soils are unlikely to be encountered on this site.

2.3.2 CONTAMINATED SOILS

An assessment as to whether the subject site contains contaminated soil has
been undertaken. A search of the Department of Environment and Resource
Management’s Contaminated Land Register has been performed and no
 contamination is apparent.

2.4 EROSION SEDIMENT CONTROL

Based on the completed Noosa Council Erosion Hazard Assessment Form, the
proposal is classified as a “low risk” development for erosion potential see Appendix
B for a copy of the completed form.

Erosion and sediment control (ESC) measures will be required to be established and
maintained in accordance with IECA’s standards of best practice. Preparation of a
detailed ESC plan will be completed as part of the operational works submission.

2.5 FLOODING

Flooding will not be a problem as minimum ground level is RL72 and it is not in an
 overland flow path.
