Waste Management Plan

The waste storage areas will be constructed to meet the requirements listed below.
The waste storage areas will:
 1. Have sufficient space between waste storage bins to allow for manoeuvring
      and washing of bins, where appropriate;
 2. Have a roofed portion (for bin wash down) with the floor to be drained to a
      centrally located floor waste connected to sewer in accordance with trade
      waste requirements;
 3. Will contain bunded and non-bunded areas depending on its size and the type
      of waste to be stored;
 4. Include a bund no more than 100mm in height to both contain wastewater
      within the bund and to prevent stormwater from entering;
 5. Be screened and designed to minimise their visual impact on the streetscape
      and surrounding areas;
 6. Not be placed where it may impede safe use of any exit, exit corridor, doorway
      or stairway;
 7. Not be placed near any existing or potential heat source; and
 8.   Contain waste storage bins that must be made of non-combustible materials;
 9. Provided with a hosecock for cleaning.

4.2      PROPOSED WASTE CONTAINERS
In order to ensure that the design of the waste storage areas is sufficient, the details
of the type and quantity of waste and the number of bins to be stored are outlined in
Table11 below. Dimensions of the proposed containers are detailed in Section 4.3.
