INFRASTRUCTURE & SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 1 MARCH 2016
The Group Fitness program also continued to perform well throughout this period and is $9,702
ahead of its net YTD budgeted position. Revenue is up 12% compared to the same period last
year.
Employee benefits are $27,816 underspent YTD, with a majority of the savings attributable to the
change to the Jump Bunch program mentioned earlier in this report.
Other expenditure variances were seen in the following areas:
Contract Services – Plumbing: $2,111 overspent due to ongoing blockages in toilets from
surrounding tree roots.
Water & Sewerage Charges: $4,527 overspent due to the invoice for the period March to
June 2015 being processed in October 2015
Contract Services – B&F Maintenance: $19,423 underspent due to deferred maintenance
now scheduled for the next quarter.

The strong attendance performance is predominantly due to high numbers at major events during
the reporting period, including:
Atalanta Jamboree Badminton Championships. 350 players from across Australia and New
Zealand visited the NLC in October for a week of competition. This annual event is hosted
in a different location each year and was the event’s third time at NLC.
2015 Contender of the Codes boxing event in November. Local sporting clubs battled it out
in the ring to raise funds for their clubs and charities. Over 500 people attended this event.
