Figure 7.9 illustrates the view towards the proposed facility location from
Brewers Road, approximately 1.6 km south of the proposed facility. Although it
is acknowledged that the upper limits of the proposed facility may be visible
from this perspective, the large separation distance, coupled by the vegetative
backdrop (Woondum National Park), will greatly reduce the dominance of the
proposed facility. It is considered unlikely that the proposed facility will be
discernible in the context of the wider landscape, when viewed from this
location. A monopole was selected as the preferred structure over a lattice tower
design as this type of facility can remain slim line and is less visually obtrusive
when viewed from a distance.
