7. Volume 4 - Traffic Impac Assessment
Attached to the e-mail MCU16/0084 & OPW16/0157 Development Application - Traffic Impact Assessment & Stormwater Management Plan (email 3 of 3).
3.5 SERVICING ARRANGEMENTS
The proposed site is to primarily be serviced by a 19m B-Double for fuel deliveries and serviced
by a heavy rigid vehicle (HRV) for the service station and food outlet stock deliveries and refuse
collection. A loading bay has been provided for the service station and for the food outlet to
accommodate delivery vehicles and refuse collection vehicles.
A swept path assessment has been undertaken to demonstrate the manoeuvrability of a 19m
B-Double entering the site from Eumundi-Noosa Road, stopping to access the refuelling points,
and then exit the site in a forward gear via Eumundi-Noosa Road. The swept path assessment
has been included in Appendix C. The B-Double is anticipated to service the site infrequently
and will operate outside the peak times; therefore is expected to have a minimal impact on the
operation of the service station.
A swept path assessment demonstrating the movement of a heavy rigid vehicle servicing the
service station and food outlet has been provided in Appendix C.
As such, it is considered that the proposed service station has been designed to accommodate all
aspects of the day-to-day operation of the development, including minimising the impact that
service vehicles would have on the accessibility for other vehicles.
