Finance
It is proposed that vehicles be charged a flat rate of $20 (incl. GST) per day (as has been the fee
since 2017).

For many years the paid parking fee was $10, under this arrangement the Tewantin-Noosa Lions
Club received 60% of the revenue with the remaining revenue coming to Council for park
refurbishment, printing of ticket books and traffic control.

In 2017 the fee increased to $20, under this arrangement the Tewantin-Noosa Lions Club
received 40% of the revenue with the remaining revenue coming to Council for Free Holiday Bus
initiatives. The rationale for the 40% to the Tewantin-Noosa Lions Club was that they would
obtain a similar amount (slightly higher) to what they had consistently been receiving. Refer
Table 1 below

 Table 1: Revenue Split at $10 and $20

                                       Noosa Council Lions Club
Revenue received at $10 $4 $6 (less GST)
Revenue received at $20 $12 $8 (less GST)

Table 2 below highlights the Tewantin-Noosa Lions Club income received from Christmas
