Alarms and Early Warning Systems
It is recommended that a high level and failure alarms with battery backup be considered as
part of the overall design for the pump station and STP.
Service and Maintenance
The service and maintenance provide must attend and complete the required service,
maintenance and monitoring of the STP on a minimum 3 monthly basis.
Grease Trap
The existing grease trap is to be inspected by a suitable qualified person to ensure the
integrity of the unit, as it is recommended that pre-treatment of the effluent be undertaken,
given the nature of the wastewater likely to be generated by the development. The grease trap
should then be adopted as part of the operation and maintenance of the facility and require
regular inspection, service and maintenance.
