4.4 STORMWATER DRAINAGE
Issues relating to surface flows may become prevalent within the disposal areas during
extended periods of rainfall. Accordingly, it is recommended that a cut-off drain or diversion
drain/mound is constructed upslope of the disposal areas to collect and divert any
surface/subsurface waters away from the disposal area. A retention mound is to be
constructed downslope of the land application area to prevent any surface water from exiting
the designated disposal area.
All stormwater runoff from the roof of buildings and pavement areas associated with the
development on the site should not be discharged in a concentrated form onto the effluent
disposal areas.
