Identification of any monitoring programme/s required for a project will be documented at the construction pre-
commencement meeting and evidenced on document the Construction Pre-Commencement Meeting Form
IMS-05-38. Upon completion of the project pre-start meeting, a risk assessment will be undertaken, where
identified on the pre-construction minutes by a competent person. Following the risk assessment an appropriate
monitoring programme will be put in place to monitor and control the identified hazard or risk. The identified
hazard or risk requiring monitoring will be evidenced in the Project Risk Register Form IMS-05-39.

At first instance an external professional provider will be engaged to undertake monitoring identified for a project.
The provider must have satisfied Shadforth procurement procedure. Advice sort from the provider will include
but not be limited to the following:

▪ Methodology for performing workplace monitoring
▪ Reports (identifying level of exposures to workers and bench marks)
▪ Recommendations for controls to be implemented (if any)

Any control measures identified will be communicated to the workers. Changes to work instructions or SWMS
as a result of the monitoring will be done in consultation with the workers. Evidence of this occurring will be
found in the relevant SWMS and on the Project specific SWMS Register Form IMS-05-75. Any information
provided will be communicated to the workers on site in line with section 10 of this plan.

Monitoring may only be performed by Shadforth employees where the following has been implemented.
