Workplace Management Plan
Lake MacDonald Drive, Cooroy
Emergency Drills
An emergency drill is carried out within 4 weeks of project commencement and as a minimum every 3 months
thereafter, or earlier when a risk assessment has identified a need to do so. Emergency drills are undertaken to
evaluate the effectiveness of the plan and personnel involved. Emergency drills are to be scenario based, each
drill considering a different situation.
Evidence that emergency drills have taken place is recorded on the Emergency Evacuation Drill Effectiveness
Form IMS-05-09. Where a deficiency in the plan has been identified, the plan is reviewed, updated and
corrective / preventative actions implemented. Corrective / preventative actions are to be noted on the drill
effectiveness form and dealt with, in accordance with section 20 subsection ‘Rectification Action Plan (corrective
action / preventive action) / System Improvement’ of this plan.
The Project and Emergency Management Teams are deemed competent and appropriately trained once
completing the training as detailed in Table 4 below.
